Traveling on bikes or scooters with a family can be challenging, but the introduction of India's first family SUV scooter has changed that. Komaki, an electric scooter manufacturer, has launched two new models: FAM1.0 and FAM2.0. These are claimed to be the first SUV scooters in the country, designed specifically for family travel, offering comfort and cost savings. The three-wheeled scooter can also be utilized for commercial purposes. The ex-showroom price for FAM1.0 is ₹99,999, while FAM2.0 is priced at ₹1,26,999.
Both scooters are equipped with Lipo4 batteries that can last for 3,000 to 5,000 charge cycles. These lightweight, compact lithium batteries reduce the risks of overheating, fire, and explosions while supporting fast charging. They are also environmentally friendly. The electric scooters come fitted with advanced technology, including a self-diagnosis system that detects issues automatically and alerts the rider in advance. A reverse assist feature makes maneuvering in tight spaces easier, and there is an auto-hold feature on the brake lever.
These scooters also feature a smart dashboard that displays real-time ride data, navigation, and call alerts. They provide various gear modes to adjust power output and speed. The FAM1.0 model offers a range of over 100 kilometers on a full charge, while the FAM2.0 can go beyond 200 kilometers. Both models are designed for family travel, with comfortable seating, an 80-liter boot space, and a front storage compartment for smaller items. The metallic body includes LED DRL indicators, a hand brake, and a foot brake.
