New Delhi: At the India Mobile Congress (IMC), Reliance Jio introduced a new ‘Safety-First’ feature for its JioBharat phones, set to launch in 2025. This initiative aims to strengthen digital safety and ensure reliable connectivity for Indian families using the company’s entry-level mobile platform.

One of its key features is ‘Location Monitoring’. This ensures that families can know the whereabouts of their loved ones even when they’re away. Users can manage who can call or message them and block unknown calls, reducing unwanted disturbances. The feature also provides real-time insights into the device’s battery and network status, helping users confirm if the network is strong. This guarantees uninterrupted connectivity, making it easier for JioBharat users to stay in touch with family members anytime and anywhere, thanks to a seven-day battery backup.
Sunil Dutt, President of Reliance Jio, stated, “At Jio, we believe technology should connect, secure, and empower every Indian. The JioBharat Safety-First solution is designed with a genuine purpose. It’s not just a phone feature but a tool for enhancing lives. It offers families peace of mind, trust, and care in an easy and affordable manner. Jio continues to redefine how technology simplifies and secures daily life.”
