It is essential for our educated individuals to feel part of this nation. A sense of patriotism is necessary. In rural India or smaller towns, this feeling is very much alive. However, unfortunately, it seems to be fading among our overly educated elite.
Many educated individuals adopt a ‘global citizen’ mindset. This attitude weakens national development. This risky mindset needs to change. Countries like China and Japan do not have such attitudes. Their progress has been driven by patriotism, he noted.
