Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has unexpectedly raised the annual fee for H-1B visas to $100,000 (about ₹88 lakh), shocking foreign workers. Meanwhile, American companies are continuing to recruit Indians. Two Indian nationals have been appointed as CEOs by U.S. companies, one of whom studied in Mysuru, which is a proud moment for the Kannada community.
Srinivas Gopalan, 55, is set to become CEO of T-Mobile, a major telecommunications company in the U.S., starting November 1. Gopalan is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and currently serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
In a statement about his new role, Gopalan expressed pride in becoming the next CEO of T-Mobile and noted that he has been aware of the company’s achievements for a long time, as mentioned in his LinkedIn post.
